London - City Guide for Freerunners
Britain’s capital is known for Sherlock Holmes, tea time and royal Kong-precisions. The Queen decided to build all of London’s spots right next to each other around Waterloo Station, or else London freerunners have been too lazy to look around for more.
Either way, all of these spots can be easily visited in a day and will keep you busy for years, so get going!
IMAX
The most iconic spot of spots you will find in England. Locals claim that this is where the Double Kong Vault was invented by Queen Elizabeth after Britain won the war. Center of London jams and meeting point for freerunners from around the globe, the potential of this spot has been pushed for years. The perfect spot to run into some locals and kick off your day, this location is just a minute walk from Waterloo Station.
Hayward Gallery
Hayward Gallery is hard to miss if you head towards the Thames from IMAX, and you’ll quickly recognize this extensive spot from many videos, including the iconic “Baby 45” gap above the staircase. Keep an eye out for security, they don’t like freerunners.
Food Market
If you need a bite between spots, there are several restaurants and stalls around. The one that stands out is the Food Market, offering a wide variety of dishes. Ask the vendors for directions to the Jubilee Gardens, or just walk towards the London Eye (the giant ferris wheel) and you have some nice grass to sit down and chill while planning on what to hit next.
Festival Pier
Nobody in London has a tan, because Festival Pier is as close as it gets to a day at the beach. This staircase offers drops into the sand from various heights, and legends say this is where the Pimp-Flip was born. If you come at high tide the beach is swallowed by the Thames and all you get is wet feet!
Stone Circle
Just in case Festival Pier is flooded you've got the legendary Stone Circle right next to it. Different slanted walls make it the perfect spot to launch flips and wall-tricks.
Tramp's Kitchen
Walking across the Waterloo Bridge right from the Festival Pier and Stone Circle brings you to this oldschool spot. Hidden underneath Waterloo bridge you'll find the iconic "Baby 45"-Gap. Home of many jams and session, especially on rainy days (it is London in the end).
Boxcat
This fun spot is just above Tramp's Kitchen! Boxcat offers you a selection of precisions, 180s and catleaps and all come in neat little boxes.
Stay focused, a slip might mean taking a two story drop and having to climb back out of one of the boxes (ask Pasha he can tell you).

Great guide, very thorough and helpful! Only other spots I can think of are St Thomas’s, Circles spot w/ jumps, rails and circle blocks near Skatepark. Also further a field there’s gyms like the chainstore and Parkour Generations parks. Make more of these for other cities!

How do we ask Pasha? Could you ask him and post a quick follow up?

As an American who’s planning a trip through Europe this summer, this article is a godsend! Thanks for writing this up!

Perfect little guide, London is relatively near me so this is actually a big help. Also because there are almost no spots where I live, the best one has three walls to vault and two to climb. No chance for cat grabs, or any rail pres, hence why I can’t stick any rail jumps at all and my dive kongs are crap. Anyway, thanks for the guide, I plan to put it to good use and use it to help me progress. Thanks Jason!
